The woven block of color in the Log Cabin pattern depicts the love that provides a fluid, yet strong foundation for partnership. My project entitled Woven Wedding originated as a wedding gift to my son and his fiancé. I wanted to provide something special for their rehearsal dinner decorations. Burlap is nice. It was discussed and agreed upon as a decoration option, but I knew I could do better given my weaving skills. I weave runners weekly. I say it's a scarf in cold months and a runner in the warmer months! I started created table runners with yarn colors that would compliment their wedding colors.Houndstooth, The yarn was variegated so I didn't think it'd like the the look in a log cabin
I designed this table runner for the couple in the hopes that they will experience this kind of love in their new lives together.
Weaving kits have been created to compliment this pattern; they can be found on our farm store web site. A copy of the pattern and a link to a video of me weaving the pattern will be included in each purchase. The weaving kits are live on the web site. All naturally dyed except for a couple seasonal colors for a sweet red and white or green and gray log cabin.
The yarn used in the original woven wedding runner was variegated pink and plumb yarn. The variegated yarn gives the log cabin pattern a dynamic look. The log cabin shines through the color variation.
